I know it's been a while since I mentioned in this post, that I was going to tryout the black gel liner offerings from both Inglot and Motives to figure out which one was better. And I have honestly been using these two nonstop since then... Infact, I only just switched to using liquid liner, this weekend.
Anyways, so I was honestly agonising over which one was better and then I said to myself, it must be because they are both equally as good. Motives is a smidge better than Inglot because it doesn't dry-up as quickly, but apart from that there isn't that much difference.
Then I went to swatch them next to each other and this only further solidified my conclusion that they are very similar. They are super-dark, very pigmented and long-lasting (both lasted all day without flaking). I really should've just swatched them next to each other and saved myself the stress.
Honestly, you don't understand the pressure I put myself under lol. I always only want to recommend products that I know work really well for me and will deliver. And I also feel I change my mind.. A LOT, and wanted to take my time with this one so I won't have to back-pedal.
So, if you are currently unable to get your hands on Inglot Gel liner in '77', Motive's 'Little Black Dress' is a great alternative, and vice versa.
Don't forget to purchase some Duraline to go with whichever you pick.

Thanks for this post Ez! I was so disappointed when my Inglot gel liner dried up and i wasn't even half way through the jar so i've been using my liquid liner. I've been considering buying the motives one even though it's a bit more expensive, I just wanted to try out the brand. At least now I know I will enjoy my motives liner when I get it. Thank you!

I'm an eyeliner lover and as far as I'm concerned, gel eyeliners are the 8th Wonder of the World.
Any make-up product that doesn't need to be touched up all day, is my idea of bliss :-)
If ur gel liner dries out just put a drop or 2 of coconut oil in d jar and let the gel soak it up, and it's as good as new.
