HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

This is the first actual typed-out post on BiL for the year! I decided to take an unannounced hiatus right after the Beauty Party...Which was a hit, by the way, thanks to everyone who attended and the vendors that took part! It wasn't complete radio silence, I updated my social media (snapchat & instagram) fairly frequently. Hope you've all have had a great start to the New Year so far, and I wish you nothing but success, peace, joy and love in 2016!

Refinery Beauty Lounge is a nail salon located in Victoria Island, Lagos. I also hosted the first ever 'Manicures with Ez' nail-party here and it was such a huge hit with everyone. Manicures with Ez, in a nutshell, is basically my way of bringing Manicure Mondays to 'life', in a sense. I will share more about this very soon and get excited because my guests to the parties will be you guys!

BiL BEAUTY PARTY | SUNDAY, 20TH DECEMBER '15

So like I already mentioned in this post here, and pretty much to everyone I see, I am hosting a Beauty Party this Sunday, 20th December! As with the last Beauty Party it's not just about coming out to buy products, I'd like for the customers to actually enjoy themselves at the event and relax. Like I mentioned before, there wasn't an event like this in Lagos for a longtime and instead of wishing for it, I decided to do my bit and make it happen!

I have incorporated live sessions and demonstrations during the party and TRUST me, you do not want to miss any of these! All sessions are FREE! The entire event is free and open to all. Just come ready to shop, relax and take in the live sessions.

Every single person that asks me about my skincare routine and what I do to maintain my skin, this expert right here is who you need to be hearing from and speaking to. She is a trained skincare expert, she knows a lot about it, done numerous courses on it and most importantly is passionate about it. You just have to look at her online beauty/skincare store Youtopia Beauty and you can immediately tell, she knows her stuff! She will also be selling products from her store at the event. So come loaded with all your questions, she'll be answering them as well as recommending products you can use! Her session starts at 2pm!

Interested in learning how to tie a Gele, make sure you are at this live demonstration by DMobileBeauties. You just need to click the link to see all her intricate gele styles and she's an educator. She charges a fee for her training sessions, but will be offering a FREE exclusive session at the Beauty Party! So if you are a makeup artist, or just an interested enthusiast make sure you are at her session, it's open to everyone! Her sessions starts at 3pm.

Have I saved the best for last? You will have to come by the party to find out. The Zaron Experience will bring you live product demos, product presentations and loads of giveaways. Let me give you a little insight on what you can expect. Zaron was part of the Makeup Masterclass with Tenny Coco last weekend, and every single student left with loads of freebies and were also matched to a Zaron foundation and powder each. I thoroughly enjoyed their session at the Masterclass and would like for everyone attending the party to experience it too... *see what I did there?* Their session starts at 4pm.


On top of all this we have makeup, skincare and haircare vendors selling products. We have beauty therapists offering eyebrow threading and lash extension services. Scratch and Social will have discounts and offers on all nail treatments on the day. There is so much to look forward to and I will be updating my instagram, twitter and facebook pages Daily, with offers & discounts from different vendors and sponsors, so make sure you are following!

This is the only 'Girly' Event this Christmas, so save the date and come with friends!

Victoria Island appears to be winning with all these GORGEOUS beauty spots! Before I get into this post I just want to mention that 'Out and About' posts aren't limited to just the Island, it's all around Lagos and I am currently researching and scheduling visits to a few locations in other parts of Lagos and I will be sure to share those as well.

Scratch and Social describe themselves as a nail bar and social club. It's a very very  beautiful space and you all get a chance to visit next week Sunday, 20th of December as I will be hosting my Beauty Party here! OUT AND ABOUT | ORIKI LAGOS

Tucked away in the heart of Victoria Island is this stunning beauty spot I can only describe as a 'Tranquil Haven'. As soon as you step in through the doors you are immediately aware that Oriki is a luxury brand. I attended their launch event last month and could not wait to go back in and get some pictures to share on the blog. Oriki is an indigenous luxury skincare brand that fuses natural ingredients and scientific research to create their products. Their range of products are designed for both men and women targeting different skin-types, including mature skin. Their 32 product-range covers hair, skin and body. They also have a spa, hair salon and men's grooming parlour all in the same building. One thing I noticed was how calm and relaxed I felt while exploring their space and taking pictures, definitely going back to try out their services. Enjoy the pictures!
