GEL LINER COMPARISON | INGLOT vs MOTIVES
Hey Everyone,
Hope everyone's doing great!
I know it's been a while since I mentioned in this post, that I was going to tryout the black gel liner offerings from both Inglot and Motives to figure out which one was better. And I have honestly been using these two nonstop since then... Infact, I only just switched to using liquid liner, this weekend.
Anyways, so I was honestly agonising over which one was better and then I said to myself, it must be because they are both equally as good. Motives is a smidge better than Inglot because it doesn't dry-up as quickly, but apart from that there isn't that much difference.
Then I went to swatch them next to each other and this only further solidified my conclusion that they are very similar. They are super-dark, very pigmented and long-lasting (both lasted all day without flaking). I really should've just swatched them next to each other and saved myself the stress.
Honestly, you don't understand the pressure I put myself under lol. I always only want to recommend products that I know work really well for me and will deliver. And I also feel I change my mind.. A LOT, and wanted to take my time with this one so I won't have to back-pedal.
So, if you are currently unable to get your hands on Inglot Gel liner in '77', Motive's 'Little Black Dress' is a great alternative, and vice versa.
Don't forget to purchase some Duraline to go with whichever you pick.
All the purchase information for both liners can be found here and here!

INGLOT | PRODUCT - Duraline
Hey there everyone! Hope you've all had a great start to the week.
This post I had planned to put up a while ago, right after I blogged about the Inglot AMC Gel Liner in #77, because they go hand-in-hand. This product I am about to share with you guys is something I simply call 'magic'.
This is Duraline, a thick liquid medium that is very multifunctional. Unfortunately I haven't got a pretty picture of this in it's nice white box packaging because I bought this ages ago, before Inglot launched in the country. But now that we've got Inglot in Nigeria, I feel I can now share it with you guys and you can be able to purchase it if you like. The first time I purchased the AMC Gel Liner was in Dubai, and the SA suggested I get Duraline as well. Usually I don't listen to such suggestions because I feel they just want to make enough sales to meet their target for the day. But this time I heeded their advice and I am super-grateful I did.
A lot of people steer clear of gel liner and they tell you it's because it dries up after a few months and that's a waste of money. But with duraline you can extend the lifetime of your gel liner. What I do is add 3 drops (in 3 different areas) into the pot when I feel it's getting stiff and not easily gliding along my eye like it usually does, and I leave it till the next day. And it's back to that creamy-smooth consistency I love. You can add it in and use immediately, whatever works for you. I find a day after, when it's been absorbed is best. But please do what's convenient for you.
Duraline can also be used to transform any loose powder product/pigment you have into a liner. This is actually what it's primarily marketed as! On the back here it says: "Duraline is a special transforming liquid that will turn any powder eyeshadow into a liquid formulation". Say you've got this forest-green shadow and you'd like to line your upper lid with it. Scrape off some of that eyeshadow unto a flat surface, add a few drops of duraline, mix them together to get a nice thick consistency and voila, instant eyeliner. Also works well for us contact lens wearers when we want to add some colour to our lower lash line with eyeshadow and its loose particles get in our eye, this will help prevent that as it will have the consistency of a liquid liner instead. I have shared a video of Duraline in action on my Instagram (@BeautyInLagos), Twitter (@BeautyInLagos) and Facebook pages, I highly suggest you check it out!
It is a great product to have in your stash, especially if you purchased the AMC gel liner or any gel liner product you've got. Even the dark gel/wax that some use to fill in their brows, if that's dried up a few drops of Duraline should do the trick.
I am sure most of you are thinking of those dried-up gel products you've cast aside as useless, I believe a few drops of duraline should do the trick and this little bottle will last you ages, real value for money!

INGLOT NIGERIA | PRODUCTS & PRICES
Hello Everyone!
It shouldn't be news to most of you that Inglot is now in Nigeria. If you are a regular BiL reader, you must've caught these previous posts here and here.
Now I am quite aware that a lot of people here in Nigeria are not as familiar with the brand Inglot as they are with, say the likes of, MAC and Iman. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, I'm sure there's brands I am yet to discover and I would like to know what sort of products they have. So today I just wanted to share with you guys a few products that are available to buy from Inglot, a sort of insight to a few products they bring to the market.
Nail Polish
I cannot confirm this, but these polishes are believed to be 'water permeable', thereby making them 'Muslimah' friendly. I would suggest you do your own research on this and don't take my word for it. I only found this out on social media. They are also very vibrant and I would advice using a base in order to avoid them staining your nails. I have used one of these in a previous Manicure Mondays post.
Lipstick
Inglot lipsticks are all super-pigmented. I was informed that the naming conventions for Inglot lipsticks indicate their finish. So for lipsticks numbered from 400 - 500, these would be matte. 100 - 200, crème finish.
Freedom System Palette
Inglot are famously known for their 'Freedom System' palettes. Like most brands, they create and sell palettes which can be customised like normal by adding in products, but what is unique is these palettes can hold eyeshadows as well as lipglosses.
Lipgloss
The picture above is my Freedom System palette with the lipglosses in. The texture of these vary from one to the other, so be sure to swatch before you buy. They are more like lipsticks that glosses, what I mean is they are a lot more pigmented than your regular lipgloss.
Primer & Mascara
Eyeshadow/Loose Pigment
This blended beautifully and super-pigmented
Lip Balm/Treatment
Like I mentioned, this isn't a review. I am just sharing with you guys a few products that are available to buy in Nigeria. Of course there a lot more products available in store like eyeliners, lipliners, eyeshadows etc. I also wanted to let you guys know what sort of price range there are working with. Inglot is cheaper than MAC and the quality is very comparable.
Inglot stores are open in Nigeria in the following states:
Lagos - The Palms Mall, Lekki
Ibadan - The Palms Mall, Ibadan
Enugu - The Palms Mall, Enugu
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Bimbo and Happiness at the Inglot Store. They were really helpful over the telephone with giving me the prices of these items. Superb customer service, thank you!

INGLOT | AMC GEL LINER - Review
Hey Everyone,
So, unless you suddenly decided to take up permanent residence under a rock somewhere in Alcatraz, you should be aware that a fully-stocked, stand-alone, Inglot store opened at the Palms Mall, in September!
Anyway, if you didn't know, now you do! I visited the store a few weeks ago, because I needed to repurchase a product which I think every eyeliner lover should have in her stash...
I have been using this product for well over 3 years now, and since the first day I used it, I knew it was something special.
As a beauty junkie, you can be rest assured that I have tried my fair share of gel liners, and this one always leaves the rest in the dust.
The texture and pigmentation of this product are second to none. It is a creamy gel-like consistency, that just glides along during application and stays put all day long. A pot like this can last months and be sure to always screw the lid back on tight after every use, to avoid it drying out.
This is, hands-down, the blackest-black gel liner I have ever used and It maintains it's intensity all day long. I typically use an angled liner brush or this brush from E.L.F cosmetics to apply, and it works just the same with both. Because of the consistency of this liner, I believe you get a lot more control with this and it does not drag at all on the skin.
I also use this in my waterline and it is the only liner that has managed to still be there when I go in at the end of the day to take all my makeup off. I will advice my method of getting makeup off, here, when taking this off to avoid tugging and excessive rubbing of the eye area.
It is long-wearing, super pigmented and a dream to apply. Don't know why I am only just sharing this with you, but it is just as well since you can purchase one for yourself right here in Lagos.
Details
Where to buy: Inglot Store at The Palms Shopping Mall, Oniru
Price: N2,300
Inglot also offer other shades in their AMC Eyeliner Gel range, if black isn't your cup of tea.
